💛 Our Core Programs

🕊 Courtroom Care Program

When families step into the courtroom, they shouldn’t have to stand alone. Our Courtroom Care Program provides emotional, logistical, and practical support during trials, hearings, and sentencing.
From pre-trial preparation and courtroom accompaniment to trauma-informed debriefs and advocacy coordination, we ensure survivors are seen, supported, and guided through every step of the justice process.

🤝 Monthly Homicide Support Group Meetings

Held in partnership with South Piedmont Community College, these gatherings create a safe, compassionate space for families to share their stories, find healing, and connect with others who understand.
Dinner is served, men are welcome, and every voice is valued. Because healing happens best in community.

💬 Parent & Family Healing Workshops

Our workshops blend practical education with emotional care — addressing topics like grief management, trauma recovery, legal navigation, estate planning, and self-care.
We help families rebuild after loss, not just survive it.

🌱 Teen Peace & Power Workshops

Violence prevention starts with our youth. These workshops equip teens with tools for conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, leadership, and self-awareness — fostering a new generation of peace-builders and changemakers.

⚖️ Justice for Marcus Gerard Mosley Campaign

What began as one mother’s fight for her son has grown into a community movement for accountability, transparency, and justice.
This campaign raises awareness about the realities of violent crime, promotes courtroom presence, and amplifies the voices of victims’ families seeking justice under North Carolina law.

🕯 Legacy of Love – National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims

Each September, we gather families, law enforcement, and the community for an evening of remembrance and light.
Names are spoken, candles are raised, and together we declare: their lives mattered, their stories continue.

🍽 Holiday of Hope Memorial Dinner

Every December, families come together for a night of reflection, connection, and love.
It’s a space to grieve, remember, and celebrate the lives of those lost — surrounded by others who understand.

🤍 Our Belief

At M.A.R.C.U.S., we believe grief can become a catalyst for change.
We believe that love, when joined with action, can reform systems and restore dignity.
And we believe that every family deserves support — not just sympathy — as they navigate the aftermath of violence.
